Pause and take three breaths.....





This week has been super special, and I wanted to share some of what's been going on for me at Educating Minds.

As a coach and NLP Practitioner I work with clients to build positive and well-formed outcomes so that they can be successful in making the changes that they want or need in their lives. The common thread this week has been reframing critical self-talk. We all have that negative inner chat, sometimes it's not even our own voice; it's the boss, our partner's or even a parent's! Or the two devils, you know the ones! The judgement and self-criticism that can limit accomplishing personal goals or meet other people's expectations can be draining and definitely creates low mood. What's special you're thinking about this topic. Well, when a simple exercise of raising awareness of the inner criticism and promoting a more self-compassionate stance towards the self, the changes fall into place for that person. This is what I really love about my job and working with people, supporting, guiding and teaching new ways to move forward. After a client that I was working with completed the 2-step process towards increasing awareness, she said that she had 'hugged and thanked' her inner critic and she now felt more whole and a hell of a lot lighter!
